Have you ever faced a seemingly “hopeless” situation? We can either accept the “hopelessness” or we can rise up and be ‘Hope Givers’. Even in the midst of hopelessness, against hope, we can have living Hope!

Sadly, many Christians are filled with unbelief right now in response to the recession in America. They don’t feel much hope in God at all. Hope in God is one of the most important revelations from God that we walk in. When we have hope, we are able to navigate through the waters of negativity, bad news, disappointment and even darkness with our full confidence in God alone. We will actually move against the current of the “river of despair and contempt.” We live in a culture that speaks a language of hope, without any foundation of faith in Living Hope. Countless thousands live with a false sense of hope or have a counterfeit/artificial hope. Strangely, many Christians speak the language of hope but they don’t have God’s ‘Living Hope’ deep in their heart.

Beloved, God has caused us to be born again to a Living Hope. The Apostle Peter uses the word “living” so that the readers would understand that God’s hope is different than man’s hope, ( 1 Peter 1:3). In fact, the great challenge we face today is understanding biblical “hope”, especially when there are so many different uses for the word hope in our language and culture. In most cases, the word ‘hope’ is used in a way that expresses uncertainty rather than certainty, (i.e., “I hope I get that job!”). Biblical hope however, is not a desire or something in the future we wish, it is confident belief that God will fulfill His promises. Namely, that God’s purposes are always redemptive, which means that God can transform, convert, buy back, and redeem anything that has moved away from His purpose. Hope in God is always redemptive and rooted in certainty. God is merciful and compassionate and chooses to act upon seemingly hopeless situations, causing and creating something good to happen. Living Hope is something that should not waver, because it is rooted in the faithfulness of who God is.

As I sat down to write you, I sensed in my heart that many of you may be struggling with a sense of hopelessness. I want to encourage you to encounter Living Hope and be strengthened in your Hope in God. I want to encourage you to read 1 Peter 1:3-9. Beloved, God is raising up a last days army of Hope Givers who confront an increasing culture of hopelessness. We are being called by Christ to minister to a world of people from every nationality whose hope has been cut off. God will cause us to stand boldly by His Spirit and we will speak to cities, businesses, our friends and family. We’re going to speak a message of life to the dry places. He will cause you to rise up and prophesy resurrection life in a land that is under wrath and judgment.

There is a last day’s church that is rising up who is moving in the power of God. They have been delivered from bondage, delivered from addictions, delivered from hopelessness. I want to be in the army of the Lord; an endless, massive army of warriors for Christ who are then strategically placed by God in locales, in cities, in hard places, like Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Las Vegas-stan. We are called to take Christ into the hotels, businesses, schools, resorts, clinics, government, courts, and our own neighborhood! It all belongs to Christ and was created for His Glory!

We are in a season of restructuring and mobilizing our congregation and preparing to expand our ministries. Please pray for us during this critical time of ‘equipping the saints for the work of the ministry’ so we can reach one more for Christ, no matter the cost, and disciple them to do the same and advance God’s Kingdom in Las Vegas and all over the world!

Judgment on Globalization

Get your homes and families in order, trim the candles, and get rid of excess; for a season of famine has come, an economic famine. It’s a year of judgment. We must interact with judgment of God, even enjoy it and celebrate it because judgment starts with the house of God! Judgment brings cleansing and shall lead many to repentance and salvation. There are some things God is “done with” this year. Globalization is over. Did you hear that? Over. Just as God judged the tower of Babel, so He has judged the global economy and man’s vain attempt to marshal the nations and attain sufficiency apart from God. Nations will realize in the wake of God’s justice and a great cleansing and purifying will start with Christ’s church. Continentalization will result, as continents unite for sheer survival. Canada, the United States, and Mexico will unify.

Judgment on Greed, Gluttony, and Self-Indulgence

Whole economies will collapse and great panic will seize many hearts. For seventeen months, nations will come up with plans, but all attempts to curtail the cleansing will be in vain. God will not be mocked. God is Holy.

Judgment on Self-Sufficiency and ruinous judgments against Christ’s Body.

God will deal with those who ‘have no need of others’, (structures, organizations, 501c3’s, factions, movements) those who have become islands to themselves and who have exalted themselves and become self-sufficient. God will reveal to them His desire for one body, one church, and His Supremacy alone. There is but One Church and each member has need of the other. The government of God is upon Christ’s shoulders. He is the Head of the church and those who have judged His church, not fearing God, will be judged; “judge not lest you be judged”. Those who have judged His church are already judged. Be careful, lest you organize against God and find yourself resisting God Himself.

A Time of Holy Separation

The Call of God will become abundantly clear to many, and sons and daughters will be set apart unto God. It is a time to be separated from the Love of the world-system that leaves God out and is a rival to Him. Just as the Continental Divide divides America and rivers flow either to the Pacific or Atlantic, so 2009 will be a time of great “divide” of separating. The divide between Spirit and Flesh will become greater and greater. You will either be hot or cold, but not luke-warm. The two rivers will become more distinct; there is one of the spirit and one of the flesh. The river of the spirit will team with life; the river of the flesh will stink with death. There won’t be anyone sitting on the “fence”, you will either be for Christ or against Him. If you are against Him, you will perish. If you are for Him, you will prosper.

A Time of Alignment

2009 is the year to get aligned and know where you are planted, getting connected functionally, having your gifts operating, and knowing your territory. Let God show you His order, don’t resist Him. Move forward with new Joy to overcome. Some will be repositioned by God’s hand. Constrictions must be resisted and will be removed by authority, to position for greater increase. New wine will abound.

“Joseph-like” anointing

Don’t be alarmed, for this shaking is necessary. Start believing for Joseph-like anointing to care for others. For God will raise up a testimony in the midst of great darkness and fear and His sons and daughters shall prophesy, dream dreams, and have visions, and they will overcome every weapon of the enemy. They will welcome the refugees out of darkness with open arms. They will kiss them upon the forehead and they will be instantly delivered and gloriously set free, transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the glorious Kingdom of Light.

A Time to Fight

Christ’s warriors will arise from every nation, tribe and language. They will lead many sons to glory through heavenly wisdom and understanding in 2009. Like Joseph, many of these “major players” have been hidden in Christ for such a time as this, and will emerge to shine the light on Christ. These last days’ warriors’ heart and song is about “God Alone”! These warriors will help others get iniquitous strands broken off of them and set free. Anticipate battles as part of your regular assignment. Just as enlisted men and women must be ready to fight, you must use your spiritual weapons of warfare or become a casualty. You will be in battle, if you turn back in battle, you will become a target.

A Time of Unprecedented Favor

This will be a time of unprecedented favor upon the children of God. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, for no good thing will be withheld from him. There will be economic hardship for many and unemployment will increase and even eclipse the Great Depression of the 1930’s. But God’s children will not beg for bread. Just as Elijah was fed by ravens, so the Sons and Daughters of Heaven will receive supernatural provision. Divine Interventions will occur on behalf of the elect. Those who wait upon the Lord will not be disappointed. There will be dancing, rejoicing, and great joy, as God’s judgment passes over His favored ones.

Time of Supernatural Growth

Start looking for the ‘growth which comes from God’. Just as the farmer sows and waits, and almost over night, the growth happens all by itself. This will be a time of “all by itself” growth, where we simply stand in awe of God and behold His “wonder”. You’ll look out over the harvest and says “Glory be to God”! The growth which comes from God is lasting, refreshing, and amazing! There will be great boasting in the Lord, as this new growth comes forth, is sustainable, and keeps on growing, and growing and growing. This is perennial growth not annual! This is a growth that is not of this world, and results in holiness and abundant fruitfulness. This is a time of tasting and seeing that the Lord is Good and is the rewarder of those who faithfully seek Him.

A Time to Give

Contrary to human understanding, we must walk by the Spirit; This is a time to increase in giving, not decrease. God is not subject to the economy. For as you give, more will be given unto you, pressed down, and shaken together in your time of need. The greatest givers are His greatest lovers. They will sing a new song and it will be a song of joy. Watch and pray, draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you. Spend time with God in the night watches, for this is a time to seek God’s face alone. Though many will be in the lion’s den, the lions will not harm them; even as God protected Daniel, so He will deliver them.

Looking Ahead: Signs and Wonders Follow Judgment

Judgment in biblical history is almost always linked with signs and wonders. God’s judgment always brings signs and wonders. Moses cried, “Let my people go.” and judgment came upon Egypt, then signs and wonders followed. In the New Testament, judgment came upon Israel, signs and wonders followed through the apostles. In times of judgment, our senses come alive. Satan can’t stay hidden. You will begin to see where Satan is resisting you and you’ll have the motivation and power to change it. Judgment brings cleansing, and shall lead many to repentance and salvation. Start envisioning countless thousands of millions, becoming “born again” and surrendered to Christ. Start expecting signs and wonders to be a normal occurrence among God’s people.

Called to Make Disciples

Nothing is more important in 2009 than making disciples. If you are not being trained, then get trained! If you are not mentoring or training someone, then start training! Greater works will come by Greater Grace, resulting in Greater Service. Greater mobilization will come through making disciples. If you are wondering what to focus on in the midst of the “shaking”, get serious about being discipled and making disciples. Start envisioning raising up spiritual children, youth, and sons and daughters to see them go further than yourself. Engage!
